"There is nothing more quintessentially Venezuelan than the Arepa.
Similar to both a traditional Gordita and Pupusa, it consists of a thick corn tortilla
that is fried until golden brown before being filled with a variety of different ingredients
, ranging from tangy shredded chicken to meltingly tender braised beef.
Paired with a side of fried Yuca with cheese and avocado sauce,
there are few meals that achieve a similar height of complete satisfaction.
